We have the pleasure of working with a small but strong independent Freight Forwarder based in Felixstowe who are looking to recruit an Office/Commercial Manager.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who has good all-round knowledge of the freight forward industry and seeking a role where you will oversee the following:

  • All operational activities are carried out in a timely manner.
  • Monitor work distribution and make adjustments as necessary.
  • Assisting with any queries.
  • Analyse customer requirements and ensure relevant staff are informed.
  • Ensure Health & Safety regulations and company policy are adhered to.
  • Provide quotations for new & existing business as required.
  • Attend regular management meetings.
  • Monitor key suppliers.
  • Develop relationships with key suppliers.
  • Operational correspondence with overseas agents/offices.
  • Assistance with personnel matters, including holidays, sickness, discipline & hiring.
  • Dealing with insurance claims with customer, supplier & insurance company.
  • Raising insurance certificates where applicable.

Our client has grown organically over the years and has very little staff turnover. They are looking for a strong people person, someone who is always willing to go the extra mile along with good business acumen.
