Welcome to Staffbank Recruitment, we are recruiting on behalf of a large production company based on the outskirts of Ipswich who require a Production Team Leader to join their growing business. The purpose of the role is to organise and supervise the production shift to ensure that the companies products are manufactured in an efficient and cost effective manner to the agreed standards and adhering to all safety, quality control and assurance procedures. You will be responsible for ensuring all production employees are motivated and fully trained to the required standard for their jobs and work competently and efficiently. You will also be ensuring products are produced and packed to the relevant product and quality specifications and to company requirements, whilst maintaining good standards of housekeeping within the department at all times. You will also be required to assist at year end and interim stock checks, as well as occasionally manage and monitor expenditure under your control. The successful candidate will have previous experience of supervising a manufacturing shift operation in a similar manufacturing environment together with a working knowledge of modern production techniques including performance measurement systems, as well as a good knowledge of H&S Legislation and to be aware of LEAN manufacturing.
